We live in an era in which the technology has given athletes and their coaches tremendous capabilities of monitoring their performance and fine tuning their training patterns. While in the old times the only gadget available was a chronometer, nowadays we have a great variety of wearables with integrated sensors that monitor the body’s bio-signals and analyze an athlete’s performance based on the specific algorithm they have. These wearables are connected with cellphones and anyone can see an analysis of his/her training on the screen. Hopefully, human coaches will not be replaced in the future by some kind of “digital” coach…
